Melinda Davenport is a Morning Anchor for WISN 12 News in Milwaukee. She obtained a Master's degree in Organizational Communication from Northeastern University in Boston, and a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Houston.
Prior to joining WISN 12, Melinda worked as an Anchor/Reporter at WMUR News 9 New Hampshire, the political powerhouse in the Boston television market. She has also previously served as a reporter/anchor at WCAX-TV in Burlington, Vermont.
Her digital journalism experience comes from freelancing for the New York Times Company, and was also a spokesperson for the Body Worlds 2 exhibit at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, featured on Great Day Houston, 740 KTRH, and CW 39. Melinda works as an Adjunct Professor at Marquette University and the Community College System of New Hampshire.
Melinda is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). She also serves on the board of the Salvation Army Milwaukee County.
